Support and FAQ

Questions about Squeeze Blocks? Here are quick answers. If yours isn’t here, just send me an email.

How to play

How do I play?

Drag fruit pieces onto the 8×8 board. When you complete a full row or column, it’s squeezed: the fruit turns into juice and flies into the jars. Only the fruit shown on the jars counts, so aim for those.

While you drag a piece, the jars show how much juice you’d get. Fill every jar the level asks for before you run out of moves. A single-color line gives double juice, and clearing several lines at once makes a combo.

If you run out of moves or no piece fits, just try again: there are no lives, so you can retry as often as you like.

Is there a time limit?

No. There are no timers and no lives: each level gives you a number of moves, so you can think about every piece for as long as you like.

How many levels are there?

60 for now, from a gentle tutorial to tricky brain teasers, and more are on the way. Each level has its own jars to fill and its own number of moves.

How do stars work?

Beat a level with plenty of moves to spare to earn three stars. With fewer moves left you get two, and if you win on your very last move, one.

You can replay any level you’ve already beaten from the Levels screen to improve your stars.

Any tips for three stars?

Three stars need plenty of moves to spare, so make every move count:

  • Watch the jars while you drag a piece: they show how much juice you’d get.
  • Only the fruit shown on the jars counts, so aim for those.
  • Single-color lines give double juice, and clearing several lines at once multiplies it.
  • Leave room for the big pieces.
  • Save the Squeezer for a row with lots of the fruit you need: it squeezes the whole row, even if it isn’t full.
What are boosters, and how do I get coins?

Boosters get you out of tight spots:

  • The Hammer clears one cell.
  • Swap deals you fresh pieces.
  • The Squeezer squeezes a whole row.

You buy them with coins, which you earn by beating levels and from your daily rewards. The first levels also give you one of each as a gift.

How do the daily streak and the daily chest work?

Open the game each day and claim your daily streak at the bar. The coin reward grows for 7 days in a row, and day 7 also brings a free Swap. Then the streak starts again. If you miss a day, it goes back to day 1.

The daily chest is a free gift with coins that you can open once a day.

What are the bar upgrades?

Every 5 levels your juice bar gets a new upgrade: an awning, a chalkboard, stools, a new juicer, a sleepy cat and night lights. Beat level 30 to see the whole bar.

Progress, languages and devices

Where is my progress saved?

Only on your device (plus your phone’s own backup, if you have backups turned on). There’s no account or sign-in, and the game doesn’t send your progress to any server. If you uninstall the game, your progress is deleted unless your phone restores it from that backup.

Which languages does it support?

English and Spanish. The game follows your device’s language (any other language shows English), and you can change it at any time in Settings › Language.

Which devices can I play on?

Android phones and tablets, iPhone (iOS 15 or later) and iPad (iPadOS 15 or later).

Do I need an internet connection?

No. Squeeze Blocks plays offline, so you can play on the train, on a plane or on the sofa.

Can I turn off the sound, music or vibration?

Yes. Tap the gear on the bar screen to open Settings, where you can switch sound effects, music and vibration on or off.

Is Squeeze Blocks free?

Right now, yes: the test version is free to download and play, with no ads or in-app purchases. That may change in future versions.

Beta and feedback

How do I join the beta?

Closed testing is open on Android, and iPhone and iPad are coming soon.

  • Android: join the testers group with the Google account on your phone, accept the test on Google Play and install the game from Google Play as usual. Please keep it for at least 14 days: Google Play needs 12 testers for 14 days before the game can launch.
  • iPhone and iPad: the TestFlight link will be here as soon as the iPhone beta opens. Email me if you want me to let you know.
